Every Saturday my friends and I gather to play D&D. My idiot son, Skip, was killed in a fight that broke out late in the session. All of my characters are reckless and I deliberately make bad choices cuz it's funny, so I fully expected one of them to finally bite it. I guess it didn't really surprise me too much lol.
I liked Skip in particular tho, cuz he was super chill and low-effort. If I felt like phoning it in for RP purposes, I totally could and it would be 100% in character. Ah well. I loved him, and I'll miss him. He died doing what he loved: fighting fish while out at sea.
Well... fishmen, but yknow. Fish.
At any rate, all my other projects came to a screeching halt because I didn't have a backup in mind. So, for the past five days, I've been focused on making a new character. I finally settled, stepping out of my usual Cleric role for a Fighter/Wizard multiclass. I have not, however, stepped out of my Small gremlin role.
One of the cool things about our DM is that she spent many, many years creating this world full of unusual and interesting creatures for her comic. She only recently adapted it to fit D&D, and I figure it would be a complete waste to not take advantage of a unique setting. Hence both Skip and Hop. But anyway, Josie is the one stepping in to fill Skip's place:
((She also bears resemblance to characters I already have, but I have a TYPE))
Not too sure what kind of character she'll be for RP, but I'm probably gonna go with the obvious detective noir angle. And if you're wondering why I don't just put her in my gallery, it's mostly cuz it's the "first pass" and it isn't really perfected or finalized... and it's missing a background lmao
Anyway, thanks for coming to my TED talk. I'm sticking more art of my dnd characters below if you wanna have a look at em:
